We've all been there... getting roped into the office "Grinch Grab" / "Secret Santa" every year and stuck with the daunting task of finding a decent gift under $15. With sparkling wine soaring in popularity and sales in recent years (hey, we're doing our part to help the economy 😜), you'll be hard pressed to find a high quality bottle of bubbles for under $15 – let alone one made in the traditional Méthode Champenoise. Full disclosure... we've kinda been keeping this one secret for a while for fear that the word will get out on how amazing it is, and it'll all get snatched up! But it is the season of giving, so we're giving you some advice: GO GRAB THIS WINE! An absolutely beautiful Pinot Noir/Chardonnay based MCC, it tastes much more mature than its vintage date would suggest, and in our humble opinion is the closest thing you'll get to a rosé Champagne at this price point. Santa, can you bring us a case? We've been good this year. Kinda. 😇

Whether you're a casual wine drinker, or a full fledged Sparkling Wino, we have yet to meet someone who isn't a fan of this unique sparkling rosé from our friends at Rosehall Run out in The County. The beautiful salmon colour, whimsical label, and cap closure will intrigue you to pick it up off the shelf – and you'll be glad you did! Medium sweet, with a super fresh acidity and lovely citrus and fresh peach character, skip the Christmas cookies and have a glass (or two) of this for dessert!

People always ask us, "If you could recommend one Ontario sparkling wine to get a flavour for the region, what would be be?" and our answer is almost always "Trius Brut!". The original owner of the property was among the first to see the potential for sparkling wine production here in Ontario, they've been producing it since the late 80's and have been finessing it ever since. They're masters of the blend, and have developed this non-vintage house style (like most large Champagne houses do) to ensure consistency. And there's no question, this wine is consistently fantastic!

It's no secret that we're big fans of Benjamin Bridge, and of all the amazing sparkling wines bubbling up on Canada's East Coast. What's particularly exciting is their use of hybrid grapes and the incredibly complex wines they are able to produce. While Benjamin Bridge has always focused on vintage dated wines, they've recently launched a non-vintage program, where they blend hybrid base wines with Chardonnay & Pinot Noir reserve wines of up to 15 years old. The result? An amazing mineral driven wine with a distinctive sea-side salinity. You may not wanna give this one away after all! 😍

If you're a fellow Sparkling Wino, "Saluti!", we're sure you're familiar with Franciacorta and feel free to skip ahead. If not, here's a little secret: It's amazing! Hailing from the Lombardy region of Northern Italy, Franciacorta is typically a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir), and Pinot Bianco. The good ones are great, the great ones are incredible, and rival the quality of fine a Champagne. They're tough to find here in Canada though, as many are hesitant to spend close to $50 for something sparkling that isn't Champagne. But trust us, this Ca' del Bosco is SO worth it.

This box set from Freixenet (the producers of the iconic black bottle Cordon Negro), includes two of their more premium cavas in a nifty carry case. Easy to wrap, and easy to solve every sparkling wine lovers biggest dilemma – "White or Rosé?". In this case it's white with dinner and rosé for dessert. 😎 Oh right, this is supposed to be a gift. Well, convince the recipient that it's SO good you'd love to share it to celebrate the holidays. We're pretty good at that. 😉

This 100% Chardonnay based bubbly was the only sparkling wine to be awarded Platinum at this years National Wine Awards of Canada... and with damn good reason! It's epic! 😍 Made in the Méthode Traditionelle, and aged on its lees for 60 months, it's bursting with notes of fresh baked bread, lemon curd, baked apple and a distinct minerality. A real treat for Champagne lovers, and prime example of why Ontario is perfectly suited for crafting amazing world-class sparkling wine.

California Love! 🙌 Blanc de Noirs (literally meaning "white from black") is a style of sparkling white wine made from red grapes, usually Pinot Noir and/or Pinot Meunier. The red grapes are gently pressed and quickly removed from their skins, leaving a white juice behind. Schramsberg were the first to introduce the Blanc de Noirs style to the United States (in 1967) and have been crafting high quality sparkling wine from some of Cali's coolest vineyard sites ever since! With proper storage, this sparkling wine will be delicious for many years, even a couple of decades to come!

Remember as a kid when your box of Fruity Pebbles would have a Flintstone's toy buried inside it and it literally felt like Christmas when you dug through all the sugary goodness and grabbed hold of it and pulled it out? Everybody loves a freebie, right? Well this is kinda like that, except rather than a plastic toy it's two beautiful Champagne glasses. See #adulting ain't so bad? 😉

Ahhh, Bolli! Loved by the Queen of England, James Bond, and the Sparkling Winos. 😎 One of our all-time favourite non-vintage Champagnes, it's everything a Champagne should be. Concentrated, fresh and pure, with a whole aroma wheel full of notes on the nose and a mouth watering autolytic character. Bollinger recommends enjoying this particular Champagne on a summer afternoon, as a pre-dinner drink, with a meal, or with a fruity and tart dessert. So pretty much at any and all times… and we couldn’t agree more!

As our pal @TorontoVino once said, "If you don't know Deutz, you aren't drinking enough Champagne!" He certainly knows what's up! 🙌 This bottle just oozes elegance, with notes of raspberry cream and fresh baked pastry it'll transport you to a luxurious café in Le Marais, Paris – or at least to the liquor store to pick up another bottle because you won't want to give it away! 😜

No, this isn't a dream... that bottle of Champagne really did just say "I LOVE YOU"! Well, it could at least thanks to Veuve Clicquot. Each year the marketing geniuses at Veuve come up with a new and innovative package that will have you reaching for a bottle of one of the worlds most famous Champagnes once again. This year it's the "Cliq Call" – a box that allows you to record a message that the recipient will hear when they open it! Oh, the fun we'll have with this one! 😜

Alright, so you're a baller and playin' with the big boys! If you're able to drop $100+ on a bottle of bubbly please buy us some we salute you! 🙏 As we said before, Bollinger is the bomb, and when they come out with a vintage offering it is surely one not to be missed... if you can afford it. Mind blowingly complex, with tertiary porcini mushroom and smokey notes as a result of extended aging, there's a reason why these wines are fit for the Queen or someone special on your shopping list!

This beautiful "tête de cuvée" from Perrier-Jouët is as delicate, vibrant, and fresh as the white flowers etched on the bottle. If you have a special lady in your life that you'd like to impress, of if you're just Lisa Vanderpump and drink this everyday, this '08 vintage beauty is certainly a showstopper and would make for a very special gift!

Krug is King. Power and finesse, and built to last. Many would argue that Krug stands atop the Champagne pyramid, and the price it commands is some pretty solid evidence to back that statement up. The first time we had Krug was a #Champgasmic experience. Just insanely complex, with every sniff and sip you discover something new. It's truly a magical Champagne and one that'll forever be at the top of our Christmas list... now if only one of Santa's elves was a winemaker!! 😂
