Jeff and Mike, better known as the dynamic Instagram duo Sparkling Winos, are thrilled to share their newest venture 'Life is the Bubbles: An Effervescent Guide to Sparkling Wine'. The announcement of the lighthearted guide coincides with the five-year anniversary of Sparkling Winos debut, with pre-orders now available.

“Our hope is that with this book readers will build on their knowledge in a fun and approachable way, to help further their own sparkling wine journeys,” said Jeff Graham. “It’s been such a wild ride and we are so excited to share everything we’ve learned over the years.”

The book is now available for pre-order here, and will be available in paperback and hardcover on April 29th 2022 for $29.99 and $39.99, respectively. All pre-orders will be autographed and personalized, and be entered into the “Life is the Bubbles” sweepstakes for a chance to win a 'Wine Date' with the Sparkling Winos, a 2-night stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and more. The book is a colourful and well-rounded guide to everything ‘sparkling’, with the first half following a more education-focused format helping readers identify their preferred sparkling wine style; plus sparkling food pairings (including some non-conventional personal favourites), unique cocktail recipes (like a Sparkling Blood Orange Margarita), and more. The second half of the book is a tour around the world showcasing adventures and wineries in some of the top producing sparkling wine regions from France to right here in Canada.

“It has been our mission to break down the barriers and preconceived notions about sparkling wine, to show people that it doesn’t have to be pretentious and can be enjoyed anytime – not just for celebrations – so we hope this book helps get us closer to that goal,” says Mike Matyjewicz. “We are excited for this next chapter as we evolve Sparkling Winos and continue to explore new ways to celebrate our beloved bubbles.”

Sparkling Winos was created out of a love affair for sparkling wine dating back to 2004 when the duo first met. A combined passion for the bubbles – and each other – led to the eventual creation of their Instagram handle @sparklingwinos and blog. Jeff later received his WSET 3 certification and the duo amassed tens of thousands of followers, going on to host dozens of events from VQA Into the Bubbles, LCBO sessions and the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival. They’ve demonstrated the art of sabrage in venues across the country, supported local wine through television appearances, conducted home tastings and even started an Airbnb fittingly known as ‘The Coupe’ for wine enthusiasts in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Of all these achievements, the one they are most proud of to-date was the honour of winning 2019’s VQA Promoters award.
