10 Canadian Sparklers for Canadian Thanksgiving

Ah, Thanksgiving… a festive time to get together with family and friends over turkey, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and green beans. Not to mention potato salad, roasted butternut squash, and… in our case, pasta al forno and pierogi! Oh, and lasagna, caesar salad, glazed ham and roasted red peppers. And maybe cheesecake and bubbleberry pie and, oh right, a little bit of homemade apple crisp. But we digress.

Actually, this is a perfect segue into Thanksgiving. Occurring earlier in Canada to coincide with our harvest, this holiday is chock full of delicious food that can often be hard to pair wine with. Luckily, though, sparkling wine is versatile and the perfect pairing for the diverse cuisine of Thanksgiving. From crisp, palate cleansing acidity to full bodied and rich, Canadian sparkling wine is so diverse you’d be hard pressed not to bring a local sparkling to your (Canadian) Thanksgiving feast. Whether you’re starting with an aperitif, pairing your bubbles with turkey or the dessert table, we’ve got you covered!
